How I work

The process I use draws from the work of well-known career methodologists and psychologists.

Every person is unique so the process is tailored to your needs. My own experience of work highs and lows includes 6 years in Human Resources, and 20 years in a range of jobs including telecommunications, management, IT and government. This has helped me understand the work people do. To learn more about my approach and issues people bring to career counselling click here.

Costs

Career counselling can be costly if services are not tailored to fit specific needs. For this reason, I allow up to 45 minutes to discuss requirements over the phone at no charge, before recommending what might work for people. Though session length can be tailored to an hour, it is often useful to extend them to 1.5 hours per session. I charge $95 for an hour and a half long session.

Skype sessions

Some career counselling work lends itself to skype e.g. job interview training, CV preparation. For skype sessions I charge $80 per hour.  If you live in a part of New Zealand where face to face help is not close at hand, I can provide any of the services listed on this page via skype.

Providing counselling services throughout the Greater Wellington region including Wellington CBD, Johnsonville, Newlands, Churton Park, Tawa, Porirua, Petone, Lower Hutt.
